A community based hub for vulnerable adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). This service recognises and provides meaningful opportunities for self-advocacy, purposeful communication and social integration for those requiring one to one support.
Who can access this service?
This day service is for vulnerable individuals with PMLD who are 18+
Individuals experiencing physical / cognitive and sensory impairments
Those who require monitoring of complex conditions and medical care
Adults who use alternative communication methods
What specialist care do we provide?
Personal care on a two to one basis
Continuation of physiotherapy plans liaising with outside professionals to maximise mobility
Promotion of communication through PECS / AAC devices / vocalisations / gesture / Makaton
The combined approach of sensory and therapeutic activities

This service offers one to one support at all times delivered by a trained, professional team in the following areas:
Enteral feeding
Medication administration
Manual handling
Epilepsy management
Infection control and prevention
