Live In Care
Live In Care is a service In Caring Hands provides to enable you to remain at home with the safety of someone being with you day and night. Our team offer a personalised service to allow you to continue with your usual routines, with the added benefit of someone living with you to offer support, comfort and companionship when needed.
- Live In Carers are available for support overnight should there be any urgent assistance required, giving you and your family peace of mind.
- Each carer also works an average of 8 hours spread throughout the day to provide you with any needs you may have, whether you need assistance with personal care, meals, medication, cleaning, shopping or simply wish company.
Live In Care vs Care Home
Live In Care with In Caring Hands is a great alternative to a care home. This service enables you to remain at home and retain your freedom and independence. We encourage you to make choices surrounding the support you receive and can offer as little or as much input as you would like. If you like the idea of having someone nearby, but don’t want them around all the time, we can do this, however, if you prefer the companionship and would like someone to talk to throughout the day and build a relationship with, this is also something we can provide.
Individuals often move into care homes as their needs are getting higher and they feel managing at home isn’t possible; often they, or their loved ones believe that a care home is the only option. Live In Care offers a similar service, with the advantage of remaining at home and having one to one support. At In Caring Hands, we appreciate that you may have neighbours, friends and family members visiting which we encourage and enable you to access the community and socialise as you always have.
Couples Care / Respite Care
With Live In Care, you can remain at home with your loved ones, the care we deliver is truly personalised and can provide support to couples which many care homes are unable to offer.
In Caring Hands is also able to provide short term respite. If your family are going on holiday and you’re worried about leaving a loved one, or if you’re thinking about having a holiday in Cornwall, we can temporarily provide a Live In Care service to alleviate any concerns and support you in your time of need.
Live In Care Team
Our carers work a minimum of a week at a time and we personalise the carer based on information you provide, trying to ensure that your carers match your personality. Everyone is different and some people prefer more company than others, we take this into consideration when completing the rota in a person-centred way. Our goal is to introduce you to a maximum of 3 carers; 2 carers who will work on a regular rolling rota and a 3rd to cover as needed.
Our team are highly trained to ensure they have the necessary knowledge, skills and competence to meet your needs. We are also able to provide training for more complex needs as required to enable living at home and to give you a good quality of life. We are CQC registered with a rating of “Good” giving you peace of mind knowing that we monitor staff compliance, conduct supervisions and observations and regularly.
In Caring Hands is based in Cornwall unlike other Live In Care providers. This means we have resources on hand to support where needed including the management team who will review support needs and the package of care at regular intervals.
Our management team develop a rapport with you and your loved ones to ensure you have a positive working relationship to maintain open lines of communication with In Caring Hands so you feel able to reach out with any questions.
